These Ring Opening Pliers are designed to open rings such as BCRs and Bar Closure Rings. While many find it possible to fit balls or bars to smaller gauges, this gets more difficult from 2.0G and up. They become vital from 4.0G and above. 8.0G BCRs really require a very strong hand in addition to the pliers!
